Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, the Dialysis Technician follows policies and procedures per the state Scope of Practice in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities :

  • Record and monitor pre and post treatment vital signs
  • Collect and label blood specimens and ensure timely delivery to specified labs
  • Document appropriate patient information and report all new and unusual incidents, information, complaints, or problems to the Registered Nurse
  • Promote and assist in the maintenance of a safe and clean working environment

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Must be in good standing as a Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) Certified by Maryland Registry
  • Must hold a current license in the state of Maryland as a Dialysis Technician
  • Demonstrated completions of all applicable state requirements for education training, competency, and standard of practice
  • Minimum of 1-3 years experience in a dialysis treatment center
  • Current CPR certification required
  • Knowledge with basic computer skills and other health systems required
  • Must be able to lift patients and assist with ambulation when needed
