Overview

This position is a management position with a variety of duties related to the processing and collection of accounts receivable. This includes the planning and coordination of the operations of the accounts receivable departments under direct control and assisting with the operations of departments not under direct control.

Managed Care Balances

Assist and oversee Managed Care Billing Specialists in identifying and prioritizing aspects of collections, and monitor for signs of problem areas.

Oversees the month end close process relating to areas of supervision.

Establish policy and procedure relating to Managed Care accounts receivable collections.

Manage the interaction of Managed Care accounts with other related receivables.

Collaborate with Regional Business Office Managers to evaluate results of monitoring activities and ensure follow up action until desired standards are achieved.

Develop systems to evaluate collection efforts and their comparison to the company’s goals and standards.

Provide direct communication with insurance companies and oversight of such communication between direct reports and said companies

Coordinate communication between A/R and G/L relating to billing areas of supervision.

Provide consolidated reports to the Director of Corporate Patient Accounting evaluating collection efforts.

General

Correlate A/R reserves information

Oversee the Accounts Receivable department in the absence of the Director of Corporate Patient Accounting.

Staff oversight including hiring, evaluations, disciplinary actions and termination.

Develop job descriptions relating to staff supervised.

Assist with activities relating to new acquisitions.

Communicate pertinent information and requests through established channels.

Abide by the standards identified in FutureCare’s Statement of Corporate Ethics and the Corporate Compliance Plan.

Attend meetings as directed.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications for this position include the completion 7 years’ experience in a healthcare related accounts receivable environment including supervisory status. Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, payors, staff and management as necessary. Strong research, problem solving, and resolution abilities are also required.
