Overview

Future Technologies is seeking a Warehouse specialist.

Location: Patuxent River, MD

Clearance: Must have an active secret clearance

Responsibilities

The Warehouse Specialist performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the given naval command’s storage plan. Tasks include: verifying materials or equipment against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages, routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods, rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials, examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage, removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment.

The position will involve receipt, storage, inventory, and shipment of equipment associated with the assigned projects, as well as operating hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties. It will support Hazardous Material, material disposition via DLA Disposition Services. It may involve transport of Government-owned systems/subsystems, parts, and equipment on a daily basis, as well as operation of Government-owned and/or Government-leased vehicles. Some limited travel and field services (industrial safety training, printing, labeling, and vehicle and truck rentals) may be involved.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalency certification and three years’ experience in logistics, supply, or related areas of work, or military training in logistics or supply arena and a minimum of two years related experience.
  • Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment. 
  • U.S. Citizen.
  • Final SECRET Clearance; those currently eligible for SECRET Clearance will be considered.

Desired:

  • Experience in naval weapons support is a plus.
  • Experience with managing ERP/SAP Warehouse Management and Property Accountability System of Record (APSR) or similar systems, as well as the use of tools such as One Touch Support (OTS) and WebFLIS, is a plus.
