We are in search of an Office Generalist for our plant in Kansas City, MO. This individual will work closely with our management team as the on-site manager of office activities and coordinator of safety programs. The ideal candidate will be someone who is customer focused, very responsive, action oriented, and has management experience. This role is very hands-on and does have a customer facing aspect which requires the candidate to have a high level of professionalism in how they handle client and vendor interactions.

Responsibilities:

  • A/R, A/P, Inventory, Cost of Goods Sold, Personnel, Purchasing, and assist production with various activities, etc.
  • Assist production with producing schedules, factory tickets, etc.
  • Weekly and monthly reporting of process-related KPIs as required.
  • Month-end closings.
  • Order and maintain office supplies and equipment.
  • Promote employee empowerment by encouraging employees to identify and address safety concerns, as well as generate new ideas related to safety and health.
  • Manage rollout programs and communicate EHS changes in an effort to gain buy-in.
  • Promote and participate in the employee safety committee.
  • Track corrective actions, suggestions, and changes via use of Continual Improvement Tracker.
  • Track and deliver safety training to employees as required with assistance of Safety Manager.
  • Coordinate new hire safety training and onboarding meetings.
  • Assist the Safety Manager to review and implement policies, annual training reviews, SOP’s and Job Hazard Assessments.
  • Provide Safety Topics and participate in daily, weekly and monthly huddles/ meetings.
  • Assist in the management of compliance programs and compliance documentation.
  • Assist the Safety Manager in tracking employee participation/engagement.

Qualifications/Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree Business Administration- Preferred

· The preferred candidate will have 3-5 years of direct work experience in customer service, production planning, accounting, and/or logistics

· 2 years of experience in a direct supervisory role- preferred

· HR and Safety experience a plus

· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).

· Unix and/or ERP experience preferred

· Strong analytical skills that allow the successful candidate to extract core data from a variety of sources, draw conclusions and insights, and translate those insights into actions.

· Ability to deal effectively with pressure, multiple tasks, deadlines, and rapidly changing priorities.

· Aptitude to multi-task and lead projects.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills with requisite interpersonal skills to partner, collaborate and build relationships with business partners, suppliers, and regional teams.

· Ability to travel up to 5%.
