Future Foam is in search of a Facility Safety Coordinator for our Fairless Hills, PA location. This position reports to the Plant Manager. This position gives you the opportunity to work in all aspects of the operation. This is a hands-on position that offers a challenging work environment where independence and creative thinking are the norm. Strong communication and collaboration with all levels of all the organization is important to ensure that the environmental and safety needs are met.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Facility Safety Coordinator is responsible for overall coordination of environmental, health, and safety programs and activities to align with Future Foam’s Target Zero program. Support and drive programs and initiatives by: exciting plant team members to be focused on a safety first environment, while providing positive reinforcement, leading by example and coaching. All of this aligns with our focus of achieving an interdependent safety first culture that allows for open communication and keeps individual and others safety as the primary focus.

• Champion employee empowerment to identify and address safety concerns, and generate new ideas related to safety and health.
• Manage rollout and communicate EHS changes in effort to gain buy-in.
• Promote and participate in employee safety committee.
• Assist in plant safety GEMBA walks. Identify non-compliant issues, help determine corrective / preventative actions and ensure closure of actions.
• Lead corrective actions and changes generated from internal hot sheets.
• Track and deliver safety training to employees as required with assistance of regional safety coordinator.
• Coordinate new hire safety training and onboarding meetings.
• Effectively interact with all internal functional job levels in order to maximize the effectiveness of the safety improvement process.

Implement policies, annual training reviews, SOP’s and Job Hazard Assessments.

• Provide Safety Topics and participate in daily, weekly and monthly huddles/ meetings.
• Assist in management of contractor safety program.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

· Bi-lingual English/Spanish highly preferred

· Engaging and upbeat outlook

· Self-motivated and driven work ethic

· Strong organization and follow up skills

· Must have strong interpersonal skills, courage, and fortitude to speak up and address issues as needed

· Experience in compliance programs and behavior-based safety programs

· 3 years of Environmental, Health, and Safety program participation

· OSHA Safety (30-hour course)

· Must be able to spend > 60% of time on factory floor

· Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Preferred:

· Degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering or related discipline preferred

· 2 years in an industrial environment
