Futaba Indiana of America Corporation is Hiring a Production Supervisor (Day Shift) Near Vincennes, IN
Description
- The Welding Production Supervisor will oversee the work activities of the Team Leaders and the Weld Associates to ensure compliance with FIA’s safety, quality, and production standards.
- Will work in a fast paced, high volume atmosphere.
- Will be responsible for the tracking of KPIs, OA, PPM and Scrap in their area of responsibility.
- Must have excellent problem solving skills that will be used in conjunction with TPS (Toyota Production System) and the Eight Step Problem Solving principles to analyze bottlenecks and potential safety and quality issues in their area of responsibility. Will also use these tools to prevent reoccurrence.
- Will be responsible for the approvals, scheduling, and tracking of PTOs for the Team Members under their responsibility.
- Must be a reliable person with a superior attendance record.
- Will be involved in the interviewing of Team Leader candidates and assist in the selections.
- Will be required to assist in the development, building and adherence of an overall training system.
- Must have the ability to mentor and educate their direct reports as well as assist them in the evaluation of their Team Members.
- Will evaluate their direct reports bi-annually for performance raises.
- Will conduct disciplinary actions within the company’s guidelines.
Requirements
• Strong Leadership skills, mentoring skills and people skills
• Minimum of 1 year experience supervising as a FIA Team Leader or supervisory experience outside of FIA
• Understanding of FIA processes
• Good math skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Basic understanding of TPS
• Basic computer skills and ability to work with Microsoft Office is essential.
• Problem solving skills
