Fusion/RoboJob-USA is Hiring an Automation Engineer - Robotics Near Chicago, IL

About RoboJob-USA & Fusion: RoboJob-USA is an alliance between Belgium-based RoboJob NV and Chicago-based Fusion OEM (located in Burr Ridge, IL) focusing on the deployment and integration of robotic, automated CNC machine tending solutions for CNC turning and milling machines in the United States. 

About the Position: This is a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated engineer to collaborate with engineers here in the USA and Europe. The person in this position will support the commissioning and deployment of robot systems for CNC machine shops. Other responsibilities include electrical control design, including selection of components, production wiring schematics, and prototype debugging. This role has the opportunity to grow and develop to the ideal candidates strengths and preferences.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Programming of robotic systems

  • On-site installation and commissioning of robotic system and supporting devices

  • Training of customer personnel 

  • Overnight travel required

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent job-related experience

  • Excellent electro-mechanical trouble shooting skills

  • Strong computer skills including MS Excel

  • Two (2) years industrial experience

  • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and electrical schematics

• PREFERRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED, EXPERIENCE:

  • Programming of 6-Axis Robots

  • Field installation experience

  • PLC programming experience

  • Programming languages for Industrial and Imbedded PC’s - C# and C
