Furmano Foods is looking to fill our Sales Manager of Consumer Products Division position. This position is responsible for achieving assigned product sales volume and profit objectives. Coordinate sales programs, promotions, and marketing events through the Regional Sales Managers, Brokers, and Direct as well as at selective corporate and distributor group accounts.

Education: (Include licenses, certifications, permits) BS/BA degree or equivalent experience

Experience / Qualifications: Minimum of 3-5 years of Retail sales experience. Working knowledge of Retail, Club, and Mass formats and distribution channels. Demonstrated success and working understanding of Branded and Private label programs. Experience working with Center Store category teams as well as Deli and Prepared Foods. Understanding of category management and supply chain perspectives. Proven success managing broker networks. Proven experience translating syndicated data and market trends to support sales presentations. Ability to independently prepare and present category reviews and new items to category management. Financial acumen and entrepreneurial perspective. Self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as with a Team.

Skills/Abilities: Must be relationship-driven with strong interpersonal, analytical and presentation skills. Must be willing to travel approximately 50% of time. Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Outlook.

Physical Demands: Significant travel is required, approximately (50%). Good physical and mental health, sound judgment, high moral standards, and a sincere desire to work with individuals from varied backgrounds.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Represent the company and its plans, policies, and ethics while maximizing sales and profits.

2. Build a sales strategy and develop tactical plans to execute and achieve budgeted sales goals.

3. Develop and manage sales budgets.

4. Assist Marketing in planning and execution of company goals.

5. Establish and nurture relationships, which motivate brokers and direct customers to strengthen our brand and private label business.

6. Educate and train brokers to effectively operate company software to present new items and develop individual customer action plans.

7. Manage account-specific forecasts, and product mix to maximize customer profitability.

8. Conduct periodic broker and customer business reviews to maximize growth and profits while staying within budgets.

9. Analyze, monitor, and report changes in the marketplace (customer, broker, products, and competition).

10. Develop opportunities in the alternate channels of business (C-Store, Mass, etc.)

11. Develop and manage international market opportunities while overseeing the Export Business Unit.

12. Manage customer trade spend activity, marketing monies, deductions, etc.

13. Food Safety is the responsibility of every employee. Any issues should be brought to the immediate attention of area supervisor or manager.

Physical Environment: Varies per location.

Manual Dexterity: Walks, sits, and stands intermittently during the workday.

Audible / Visual Demands: Good auditory and visual abilities as oversight of the program and maintenance of a safe environment are critical. Must be able to tolerate frequent interruptions.
