Funtopia, Adventure Facilities is Hiring a Kitchen Crew Near Naperville, IL

Join our FUNtastic team today! We are looking for a part-time Café Associate who can work on Friday evenings and weekends when school is not in session.

Location: Naperville, IL

Responsible To: Manager

Required Education: High School or Equivalent

Hourly Rate: $16

Responsibilities:

  • Set up workstations, including prep tables, service counters, appliances, etc.
  • Receive incoming food orders
  • Prepare basic food items from the menu
  • Prepare food efficiently while ensuring complete guest satisfaction
  • Maintain a clean uniform
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized work area throughout the shift
  • Check and restock supplies in all areas, including vending machines, coolers, and freezer
  • Communicate with other employees, such as party hosts and the management team
  • Monitor inventory and communicate with the management team when a product needs to be reordered
  • Break down, clean, and sanitize work areas at the end of the shift
  • Sweep and mop work areas
  • Provide customers with a high level of front-line customer service
  • Answer and address customer issues, inquiries, and concerns with excellent attention to detail
  • Keep abreast of all new policies or procedures required for safe operation
  • Comply with all quality systems and assist in the introduction of any new quality system procedures as required
  • Perform cleaning duties of the lobby and seating areas
  • Perform additional tasks as appropriate in carrying out the duties of the position

Qualifications:

  • Basic knife handling skills
  • Basic reading and math skills
  • Ability to lift over 25 pounds regularly
  • Ability to measure ingredients accurately
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment
  • Ability to understand and carry out directions
  • Ability to follow standards of the health department
  • Basic customer service
  • Must be able to work when school is not in session, Fridays, and weekends
  • Must have a valid Food-Handler's Certificate or will need to obtain
  • Preferably has worked at a concession stand or kitchen
  • Preferable has worked with youth and families
  • Ability to work in a team environment and with minimal supervision
  • Safety conscious, enjoy working with youth, self-directed and reliable
  • Possess an upbeat communication style (be naturally happy, energetic & confident)
  • Able to handle all types of customer personalities and business situations in a fluid-working environment with strength and ease
  • Ability to work with others on a high-performance team
  • Speak English fluently
  • Current police background check is required

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Shift:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift

Weekly day range:

  • Weekends as needed

Experience:

  • Basic math: 1 year (Preferred)
