Job Summary:

We are seeking talented and enthusiastic Character Performers and Performer Monitors to join our team. As a Character Performer and Performer Monitor you will have the opportunity to bring a beloved character to life and create magical experiences and memories for children and families. If you have a passion for performing, love working with children and their parents, and enjoy creating memorable moments, we want to hear from you! Note that these positions are interchangeable: you will be trained both as the costumed Character Performer and the costumed Character's Performer Monitor, as you and a partner will be switching between the two jobs throughout the day so each person equally works as the performer and the performer's monitor throughout the day. (A Performer Monitor monitors the costumed Character Performer while they are in the full-body costume to ensure their safety and answer questions from guests who are interacting with the Character Performer).

Duties for both positions:

- Portray a fully-costumed character and entertain guests at our family amusement park

- Engage with children and families in a friendly and professional manner

- Perform improvisation to create engaging and interactive experiences

- Dance and move in a character costume while maintaining energy and enthusiasm

- Collaborate with the Performance Monitor and other staff members to ensure seamless performances

- Maintain the cleanliness and integrity of character costumes and props

- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols during performances

- As the Performer Monitor you will ensure the Character Performer's safety and answer questions from guests interacting with the Character Performer

Experience:

- Previous experience in dance, theater, or performance arts is preferred, but not mandatory

- Ability to communicate effectively with children and adults of all ages

- Experience working with children in an entertainment or educational setting is a plus

- Strong improvisation skills to adapt to different situations

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, amusement park environment while maintaining high energy levels
