Position Summary:

Fulton Science Academy Private School is hiring a High School Spanish Teacher (6th-12th) for the 2024-2025 academic school year. Fulton Science Academy primarily serves advanced and gifted students and prides itself on providing a working atmosphere for our teachers to grow as professionals and individuals.

The candidate hired for this position will be expected to provide a student-centered, supportive classroom environment aimed to help students achieve success. The classroom environment established should be one that balances students’ academic and social-emotional needs in alignment with Fulton Science Academy’s core values.

We are seeking a Spanish language teacher who is trained and skilled in Comprehensible Input and Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling. We use the following curriculums: Somos, Garbanzo, Huellas, and comprehension-based novels.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Valid GA teaching certification
• Bachelor’s degree

Preferred:

• Teaching experience in Spanish
• Gifted endorsement
• Master’s degree in the education field
• AP Spanish experience

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Teaching Spanish to High School Students
• Show evidence of differentiated instruction for all students by incorporating strategies for engagement, rigor, climate, and culture within the classroom.
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in the classroom and workplace.
• Develop and maintain genuine, positive, and consistent communication with parents, faculty, and staff.
• Work collaboratively with Word Language Department and Secondary team colleagues.
• Contribute to and benefit from the school community.
• Practice professionalism through ongoing professional development, reflection, and continuous improvement.
• Other duties as assigned.

Working hours: 7:20am - 4:15pm
Salary: 61,000-76,000
