Our Internship Development Program is designed to provide Interns with real-world experience in the banking and financial services industry. An internship with Fulton Bank provides opportunity to build essential skills and explore a career path that matches your interests, while gaining valuable insights into the working life at Fulton. In addition, Interns have the opportunity to build their professional network, grow through professional development opportunities, give back to the community, engage with other Fulton Bank Interns, and connect with other employees through our Employee Resource Groups.

Under close supervision with a designated Supervisor, you will be responsible for observing the policies and procedures within a specific area/department of the Bank. Activities and internship duration vary by assignment. Strong academic performance is required. Previous work, leadership experience, and community involvement is preferred.

  • A remote role at Fulton Bank consists of daily work from a non-Fulton Bank work location. However, please note the on-site requirements as a Fulton Bank Intern.
  • Must express a willingness to attend Internship Program events in Lancaster, PA at our Corporate Headquarters building as you participate in our Summer Internship Program (mileage reimbursement offered).
  • Relocation package/support is not offered for this position.
  • Preference will be given to local/east coast residence.
  • Preference will be given to students who express an interest in continuing this internship into the Fall semester, working around academic schedule.
• Work Hours: Full-time work hours, 40 hours per week Monday-Friday.

• Assists in a wide range of opportunities with tasks in their assigned department.
• Performs assigned duties in designated department to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures and standards required for successful performance.
• Completes reports on progress in internship program and gives feedback about program to Manager and Talent Acquisition team. Management feedback must indicate satisfactory progress to remain in Internship Program.
• Intern may also participate in career training/education as needed, as well as, corporate events/initiatives.
• Duration of Internship is dependent on individual assignment.

Scope of Work:

The ideal IT Quality Assurance Intern demonstrates strong customer service and communication skills, the ability to pick up technical skills/tasks quickly, attention to detail, high pattern recognition, a sense of urgency, and is viewed as a 'go-getter- operating with enthusiasm and excitement for the role. Responsibilities include:

• Providing hands-on learning opportunities working alongside seasoned QA testers, on various projects and initiatives as assigned, including but not limited to: functional testing, Supporting UAT testing, providing QA automation support and day to day QA functions.
• Working with the QA Manual and QA automation testing teams by supporting testing services in QC ALM and Azure Dev ops.
• Writing Test Cases and Scripts, Test Executions and Reporting defects and maintaining defect life cycle .
• Providing training with end users, investigate tickets and document in Remedyforce.
• Providing training with end users, investigate user stories and document in Azure DevOps.

Required Education: High School Diploma or the Equivalent Experience

• Fulton Bank Interns will be expected to have completed or are currently enrolled and in the process of completing, a four (4) year college degree from an accredited college/university earning a degree.
• Must have completed a minimum of 15 academic credits/credit hours- equivalent to one semester.
• The following specialty majors and area of study is required based on the needs of the department/project: Information Technology, Information Systems/Security, Computer Science, Operations Management, Data and Analytics, Risk, or another data- related area of study.
• If graduated must have been within the last 6 months.
• Strong academic performance is required.

Preferred Education:

• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is strongly preferred.
• Preference will be offered to rising Juniors and Seniors.
• IT, Quality Assurance, Development, and/or Data Analysis related coursework is preferred.

Required Experience: 0 to 6 months

• 0-6 months previous experience will align to the needs of the assigned department/project. Experience is demonstrated through former employment or co-op, internship, leadership, or community involvement experience.
• Ideal candidate demonstrates strong interpersonal skills through verbal and written communication, has strong customer service skills, and is a motivated self-starter with drive demonstrating initiative to advance their career.
• Ability to work on multiple tasks/assignments simultaneously, handle and manage a high volume or work, achieve deadlines while producing high quality and accurate products, and work independently and efficiently after instruction has been given.
• Must be able to professionally handle and prepare sensitive and confidential information.
• Technical skills are required with proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Preferred Experience:

• Familiarity with tools similar to QC ALM/QA, Ranorex, Azure DevOps and/or SharePoint. Formal training will be provided.
• Familiarity and/or course work focusing some programming languages (C#, Java, etc.).
• Desire to excel in IT field is preferred.
