You will advocate for clients, advise them on the best course of action, and implement their legal support plan. You should have previous trial experience, be able to manage a heavy caseload, and use your general counsel experience and interpersonal skills to mentor our lower-level associates to ensure a continued legacy of prosperity. • Get appropriate documents prepared, such as motions, pleadings, notices, and discovery requests and responses
• Complete legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs
• Counsel associates to resolve or prevent conflicts
• Represent clients in court to argue motions during legal proceedings
• Prepare for and attend trials, mediation, and arbitration hearings
• Maintain knowledge of local, state, and federal statutes and applicable laws

• Assisting with the discovery process by conducting depositions, issuing interrogatories and requests for production of documents, and reviewing discovery requests, responses and responsive discovery materials
• Negotiating settlements
• Performing legal research
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsels, witnesses, the court and third parties regarding pending matters; and
• Conducting initial consultations with potential clients as needed

• Must be able to handle heavy caseload with little supervision
• Active member in good standing with local and state bar associations
• 5 years of required experience as a senior associate in the legal field
• Completion of a 4-year bachelor’s degree, as well as 3-year law degree from an accredited law school
• Applicants must have trial, mediation, and arbitration representation experience
