Company Overview:

Fuku is a fried chicken sandwich centric, quick service restaurant (“QSR”) that was founded by David Chang and Momofuku in 2015. Guided by many of the same principles that Momofuku was founded on, Fuku challenges convention and offers guests approachable, high quality food that draws influences from both Asian and American cuisine. Fuku participates in the U.S. Open every year and operates multiple high-volume stands from the start of the event.

Job Summary:

Front of House Team Members are responsible for communicating with guests to provide an order experience experience that is fast, friendly and fun. FOH team members will be responsible for taking cash and credit card payments at the Point of Sales (POS) system.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greets and engages guests in a friendly and hospitable manner upon arrival to and departure from Fuku
• Demonstrates working knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and allergens
• Effectively communicates talking points regarding menu items, brand initiatives, and Fuku culture
• Answers guest questions and concerns about the menu items
• Suggestively sells and highlights promotional items/brand initiatives to increase sales, guest experience & loyalty
• Ensures that guest orders are entered accurately into the POS system
• Collects credit card and cash payments from guests
• Hands orders to guest, ensuring timeliness and accuracy of each order
• Addresses any guest concerns, directing them to a supervisor or manager if necessary
• Act as a liaison between guests and the kitchen, handling any immediate guest needs
• Responsible for communicating openly and thoroughly with all members of the concessions stand team.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Must be energetic and friendly with our guests
• Ability to communicate clearly with guests and coworkers
• Food Handlers Certificate a plus
• Ability to anticipate service needs based on environmental and guest cues
• Have a commitment to quality service and food beverage knowledge
• Previous quick service, concessions, or customer service experience highly encouraged
• Desire to learn quickly with an interest in taking on new responsibilities
• Display a calm demeanor during high pressure scenarios and high-volume sales environments.

Physical DemandsThe physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, sitting, standing, for 4 to 8 hours, bending, squatting, traveling from location to location, and moving intermittently during working hours. Ability to travel as business needs dictate to assist with Fuku events and concessions. These physical requirements may be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodations. Subject to wet floors, temperature extremes, and excessive noise; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight; must be able to maneuver in an often tightly quartered environment. Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
