Salary range for position: $145,000 - $167,500, commensurate with experience.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for a variety of complex cost accounting activities including but not limited to inventory control, product costing, variance and reserve analysis and reporting as well as related month-end financial close duties. Position will support and interact with Manufacturing Operations and Engineering departments within the facility by providing all necessary financial analysis and reporting. Role will require assisting executive management team with strategic decision-making involving capacity planning and outsourcing options. In addition, position supports other general accounting responsibilities including but not limited to fixed asset management and tracking, general ledger, budget to actual analysis and month-end reporting.

SUPERVISION Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments. May manages activities of others. Oversees experienced level professionals. Frequently advises team(s) on moderately complex matters.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Ensure accurate analysis and reporting of inventory, capital and expense items
• Analyze cost variances and calculate and analyze inventory reserves
• Provide support with month-end close, physical inventory, cycle counting and manufacturing reporting
• Analyze standard cost updates as well as new product and part costing
• Support the Manufacturing Operations and Engineering departments with ad-hoc analysis and reporting
• Assist executive management team with strategic decision making with regards to plant capacity
• Assist with overall financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting process
• Provide support to other accounting areas such as fixed asset management, general ledger, and departmental expense review
• Provide support with external and internal audits, as well as local and state tax inquiries
• Establish, monitor and control financial policies and procedures

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Act as financial lead for local member(s) of Finance department staff

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED:

• Typically requires a minimum of 15 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 10 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on, in-depth experience with SAP or other similar enterprise resource planning software
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Team player
• Self-starter who is able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail and ability and desire to solve complex problems
• Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels, both within and outside the organization
• Limited travel to NH office required

DESIRED:

• CPA or CMA designation preferred
• Some Japanese language skills preferred
