PURPOSE.
Fuchs Trucking, in business for 60 years, seeks a full-time Dispatcher to support our growing fleet of 100 trucks. The shift for this position will be days, 7 am to 5 pm, and rotating on-call weekends.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Track truckloads in a timely fashion by communicating with drivers, dispatchers, and customer representatives regarding pickup, deliveries, and status updates.
· Maintain accurate computer dispatch and scheduling records to ensure smooth and accurate communication flow.
· Ensure the driver has all paperwork and load info necessary to complete their load satisfying both customer expectations and HOS regulations.
· Maintain a respectful attitude when dealing with drivers, co-workers, potential customers, to help foster existing relationships and build new ones.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
· Ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize.
· Effective with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
· Desire to learn and grow as part of a collaborative team.
PREFERRED SKILLS
· 2-5 years of trucking, transportation, and logistics experience.
· Experience using transportation management software Prophesy Dispatch or equivalent.
Transportation Brokerage Experience.
· Experience with load boards and rate negotiations.
· Familiarity with Hours-of-Service Regulations.
