FTS is Hiring a Purchasing Coordinator Near Fayetteville, AR

Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to join our team. The Purchasing Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the purchasing department by managing procurement processes, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and supplies for our residential construction projects.

Responsibilities:

Material Procurement:

  • Coordinate the procurement of construction materials, equipment, and supplies according to project requirements and schedules.
  • Review purchase orders and verify accuracy of specifications, quantities, and pricing.
  • Monitor inventory levels and anticipate future material needs to avoid delays in construction.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing comparisons, and estimating.

Bid Analysis and Cost Control:

  • Analyze bids from vendors and subcontractors to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance with project budgets.
  • Assist in budgeting and cost forecasting for construction projects.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the purchasing department.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, and vendor communications.
  • Generate reports on purchasing activities, including spending analysis and vendor performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with accounting and finance departments to reconcile invoices and resolve discrepancies.

Project Coordination:

  • Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors to schedule deliveries and manage logistics.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination of purchasing activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in the construction industry preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with purchasing software or ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, building codes, and industry standards.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
