FTS is Hiring a Project Architect Near Syracuse, NY

Job Summary:

Lead and manage the architectural design team for projects up to $10M, ensuring quality and timely delivery. Directly supervise team members, provide mentorship, and oversee project coordination.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage internal architectural team, assigning tasks and ensuring project alignment.
  • Coordinate with engineering disciplines and external consultants.
  • Communicate project design to clients and owners.
  • Provide design oversight, ensuring completion from concept to implementation.
  • Create or coordinate graphic presentations to convey design concepts.
  • Facilitate client meetings, take notes, and coordinate action items.
  • Direct Technical Coordinator on design and technical requirements.
  • Review and understand applicable codes and regulations.
  • Assist in marketing and sales activities, aligning with client objectives.
  • Review project scope, client RFP, and financial performance reports regularly.
  • Monitor project budget and adjust as needed to stay within financial parameters.
  • Participate in project team meetings to disseminate information and maintain processes.
  • Conduct employee performance reviews in line with project expectations.
  • Work in an office setting (90%) and occasionally visit construction sites (10%).

Requirements:

  • 4-year or 5-year degree in Architecture; advanced degree preferred.
  • NYS license to practice architecture with 8-10 years of related experience.
  • Proficient in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to occasionally visit construction sites and lift up to 25 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
