FS Investments liquid and opportunistic credit business has over $6bn of assets under management across multiple funds investing in liquid, opportunistic, and non-sponsor private credit. The business is looking for a dynamic individual to support the increased growth of the business. This role is part of the Chief Operating Officer (COO) group, which handles the noninvestment aspects of running a fund and business unit. The primary goal is to drive the growth, efficiency, and strategic direction of a business unit and/or FS sponsored fund.

The ideal candidate will have strong business intuition and the drive to help drive solutions to day-to-day issues and larger challenges. This is a highly visible role and requires candidates willing to "roll-up their sleeves" to establish models, develop presentations and business plans, and take ownership over maximizing outcomes for the funds that FS sponsors. The candidate should have the communication skills necessary to convey key financial and operating results to internal and external stakeholders (Board of Directors) across the firm.

The successful candidate is expected to:

• Set and execute strategic vision in agreement with senior management and business head.
• Partner with the Investment Management team to drive business growth and fund performance.
• Take the lead in analyzing and recommending fund distribution rates and earnings forecasts.
• Collaborate across departments to set and align infrastructure and supports needs.
• Adapt strategy to evolving business needs, fostering sustainable relationships and protocols.
• Provide detailed analyses to support the business and spearhead key projects.
• Gain deep knowledge of funds, their structures, performance drivers, and compliance considerations.
• Prepare and communicate financial outcomes to internal and external stakeholders such as the Board of Directors for funds.
• Problem-solve daily challenges, drive solutions, and execute strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:

• 3 years in investment banking, asset management, corporate strategy.
• Real Estate/REIT background and strong financial modeling proficiency.
• Effective communication skills; adept at presenting complex information.
• Degree in finance, accounting, engineering, or CFA progression advantageous.
