Frymire Home Services has served the Dallas-Fort Worth area for over 70 years, and we are seeking a General Manager who is culture-focused with strong operating disciplines and passionate about developing their people. The role requires this individual to foster strong and positive relationships throughout the organization to lead his/her direct reports to achieve their division goals.

What’s in It for You

Overall Responsibilities

After initial training, the General Manager will report to the CEO of the overall organization. Reporting to this role will be the Dallas sales and service teams for Frymire. The GM will serve on the corporate leadership team and will manage Frymire’s operations, sales, marketing, accounting, and human resources departments. Additionally, this person will represent Frymire to outside parties including the community, customers, vendors, trade & industry associations, etc.

  • Work with the CEO on the development of an expanded strategic vision for the Dallas business.
  • Mentor, develop, and grow team members, while keeping turnover to a minimum.
  • Develop, review, and approve the operating plans of the sales and operations teams with a keen interest in implementing internal “best practice” operational processes and targeted business growth initiatives.
  • Execute on timely basis strategies, tactics, and actions aimed at achieving aggressive company goals and objectives for revenue growth, profitability, as well as employee and customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for instilling and driving continuous improvement throughout the organization by planning, leading, and facilitating a unified and seamless implementation of the company’s improvement philosophies and model. Where appropriate share best practices with sister organizations.
  • Measure, review, and report the business performance, through P & L analysis and KPI updates, to the CEO. Share this information as appropriate with the Dallas team.
  • Maintain awareness in the development of sound market strategies, monitor industry trends, attend group conferences, and participate in sales calls, and maintain focus on company growth objectives with a goal of achieving a superior position in the industry.
  • Recruit, hire, promote, terminate, and transfer sales and operations personnel.
  • Provide and ensure adherence to all safety procedures by entire Dallas business team.
  • Ensure divisional team members are attending the available training both internally and externally.
  • Create alignment within the divisional strategic plan to support the overall corporate business plan.

Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum of 15 years of progressive business experience[T1] . Ideally in the home services industry, but not required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, construction, or related field optional.
  • Proven experience in sales to consumers and developing and training sales employees is beneficial.
  • Track record of recruiting, educating, and developing people resources at the level necessary to meet personnel needs of current and forecasted workloads and business initiatives.
  • Experience in a blue collar-oriented consumer facing sales and service organization.
  • Extensive experience in project and divisional management.
  • Management background in process installation work coupled with strong process orientation.
  • Knowledge of the Dallas/Fort Worth market is beneficial.
  • Ability to lead a team to accomplish desired results through subordinated levels of management.
  • Background in working with a high growth company coupled with building and enhancing a business unit and its strategy.
  • Experience representing an organization and its culture to parties both inside and outside the organization.
  • Ability to oversee project schedules, inventory, and job estimates.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, especially in providing instructions to employees.
  • Able to identify business opportunities and define strategic business direction with the division.
  • Proven skill in use of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting and human resources planning.
  • Develop and sustain an organizational structure which positions the company to deliver products and services in an efficient, productive, and profitable fashion.
  • Demonstrated ability to see current trends, predict future impact of these trends on the business and potential solutions and opportunities related to these trends.
  • Knowledge of technology related to the industry and experience with Microsoft Office suite of products (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Previous experience executing in an environment with both scheduled and unscheduled service demands from customers.
  • Expertise in the CRM - Service Titan - is an advantage.
