FRx, Inc. is Hiring a Field Technician - Environmental Engineering Services Company Near Travelers Rest, SC

Since 1994, we have been advising clients in the most effective injection techniques for cleaning-up contaminated groundwater at sites ranging from gas stations to military bases. We are a team of 10 with degrees ranging from PhDs to high school diplomas. While education in a related field is beneficial, we also train candidates that have the necessary interests, aptitudes, and drive. FRx is a great choice for any person who wants to join a professional company in a long-term, career-focused position, yet spend most of their time performing hands-on field work outside of an office setting.
We are currently looking for candidates to join our hard-working and high-achieving team in the entry-level role of Field Technician. Field Technicians who are team players and dedicated to the company grow into the roles of Site Supervisors and Project Managers.
Pay Rate: $45K to $55K salary to start, annual bonuses, and per diem when travelling
Benefits (after a trial period): Medical insurance, 401K, profit sharing, specialized training, annual medical physical, and company paid cell phone
Travel: ~45% (throughout the US and Canada)
Start Date: Immediately (first project in California in March, New Mexico in April, or Massachusetts in July)
Field Technicians maintain and pack equipment in Travelers Rest, SC and drive trucks as large as Ford F550s or Dodge 5500s towing 18-26 ft. trailers across the continental US and Canada. Project teams sleep at Holiday Inn hotels and work 8-14 hour days outside in the elements (i.e. sun, rain, wind, heat, cold). Work tasks include lifting and carrying hoses and pumps and operating equipment such as custom-built groundwater remediation rigs, drill rigs, forklifts, and other equipment. When a project is complete, the project team may drive home or to the next project.
When travelling, the Field Technician will often be away from home for 21 days at a time. This is a requirement due to the nature of the work. In between projects, the Field Technician may be working on equipment and other tasks in the shop in Travelers Rest, SC, but may also be enjoying flex time without work obligation.

With as little as 1 day of notice (but typically 1-2 weeks of notice), the Field Technician (with the other members of the project team) will pack and drive equipment to a project site that may be in any state in the US.
