Frostburg State University ( FSU ) at the University System of Maryland-Hagerstown ( USMH ) seeks an innovative and self-directed person for the full-time, exempt new position of Student Recruiting & Advising Specialist.
- They will serve as the primary resource for transfer credit policies and academic advising. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience;
- University System of Maryland benefits package includes annual leave, holidays, personal, and sick leave; tuition remission;
excellent health and life insurance, and retirement plans.
FSU at USMH is in downtown Hagerstown and is one of five partner universities offering programs at the location.

Description of Ongoing / New Duties
Recruitment activities will include off-campus events, visits to community high schools and colleges, and presentations and information sessions.
This position will also guide FSU at USMH retention policies and practices and assist in monitoring students’ progress to ensure success.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with two( ) relevant years of experience related to the opportunity. Candidate must possess excellent communication skills in all facets / formats and be able to interact effectively with prospective students from all backgrounds / cultures.
This position also requires experience with social media and digital communications. Experience with community outreach is preferred.
