Who you are:

As an FIA Compliance Analyst, you are our risk navigator. You’ll be assisting Frost Insurance Agency Compliance Consultant providing advice and consultation to both internal and external customers on a wide variety of compliance issues ranging from human resources, risk management, employee benefits, and related regulations. You will support the overall goals and objectives of Frost’s Compliance department. You welcome a challenge and strive to contentiously improve processes with integrity, caring and excellence in mind.

What you’ll do:

  • Field both internal and external compliance inquiries. Research issues and support findings with reliable citations from regulations or industry sources.
  • Monitor and interpret current/future Texas Department of Insurance laws and regulations
  • Actively review various industry related sources and federal insurance laws/regulations for pertinent information of which FIA needs to be aware
  • Communicate any additions or changes to staff and clients. Asses any other laws/regulations which may impact FIA (CAN-SPAM, Do Not Call, etc)
  • Support the department’s efforts with developing and drafting client compliance tips, quarterly publications, presentations, webinars, and other customer-facing communications.
  • Attend prospective and existing client meetings as a compliance representative. Represent FIA on the Privacy Steering Committee
  • Monitor FIA’s compliance with current and future HIPAA standards and regulations.
  • Assist Compliance Consultant with leading internal training sessions on interpreting federal and state regulations in the areas of health insurance, notice requirements, and other areas of compliance within benefits administration
  • Work with Marketing Department to ensure that proper disclosures are on all materials and Texas Department of Insurance advertising/marketing standards are followed
  • Assist internal auditors during compliance audits
  • Assist with updating client materials and FIA compliance manual as necessary
  • Maintain a compliance database for use by both internal and external clients
  • Resolve any escalated compliance matters internal customers may have with partners or vendors
  • Always take action using Integrity, Caring, and Excellence to achieve all-win outcomes

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3 years related experience (e.g. human resources, insurance, familiarity with ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, HHS, Treasury and/or DOL regulations)
  • Excellent research skills
  • Ability to work well with others and establish rapport quickly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft computer applications
  • Excellent time and organizational management skills

Additional Preferred Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Industry designations such as PHR, SPHR, OR CEBS
