Overview

The Accounting Clerk is mostly responsible for the Consumer Portfolio, Visa DPS Daily reconciliation and GL entries as well as reconciling Balance Sheet GLs. The Accounting Clerk will also be responsible for monthly reporting such as Treasury General Account (TGA) reporting and Month End Journal Entries and Reconciliations. In addition this role will support and cross train in various accounting duties and work closely with the Accounting Supervisor to make sure controls are adhered to and all company policies are followed. The Accounting Clerk is also responsible to uphold and abide by Frontwave Credit Union’s Core Values and service expectations.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following non-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned. All duties are to be performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations as well as Credit Union policies and procedures:

• Monthly TGA reporting & reconciliation
• Balance Sheet GL Reconciliations
• Cross-train on various Accounting duties to serve as back up
• Perform other reconciliations per Credit Union Policy
• Participate in projects that would directly align with desk
• Collaborates within the department to support overall department goals and objectives
• Participate in end of month activity for closing the financials
• Update and maintain procedures and look for efficiencies in processes

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Associate Degree in Accounting required

Experience in the Financial Services Industry a plus
