We are hiring a Senior Information Security Officer (ISSO) to join our team and support the IATT, ATO and RMF requirements for a government customer. This is an exceptional chance for you to have a direct and daily impact on the success of a high-profile Dept. of Defense program with Congressional mandates pertaining to national security. Responsibilities

• Create documentation based on the content provided from government and contractor stakeholders. 
• Monitor, evaluate, and maintain systems and procedures to safeguard internal information systems, network, databases, and Web-based security.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and monitor systems, network, databases, and Web for potential system breaches.
• Respond to alerts from information security tools as well as report, investigate, and resolve security incidents.
• Educate and communicate security requirements and procedures to all users and new employees.
• Recommend and implement changes to enhance systems security and prevent unauthorized access.
• Research security trends, new methods, and techniques used in unauthorized access of data in order to preemptively eliminate the possibility of system breach.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and privacy laws. 

Education/Qualifications

Required:

• Typically requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 6 years of relevant experience.
• DoD 8140 Compliance (Security , or another qualifying certification).
• Active U.S. Dept. of Defense Top Secret/SCI clearance.
• Experience with Enterprise Tools, network devices and a deep understanding of the OSI model.
• Experience with the following systems (required):
  • Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • eMASS
  • Patching systems (e.g. Patchlink, Windows Updates)
  • Security systems (e.g. HBSS, McAfee ePO, Symantec Enterprise)
  • Active Directory structure
  • Auditing and logging tools
  • Programming concepts and structures
  • STIGs, CTOs, IAVMs
