Responsibilities

FTI is currently looking for a Software Test Automation Engineer to provide automation test support for Space Systems Command (SSC), supporting the Rapid Resilent Command & Control (R2C2) Program. This role should understand Ansible and other Automation Testing tools, and develop relationships with development partners across the R2C2 program supporting the following related tasks: 

• Responsible for testing deployment of R2C2 mission systems.
• Create and execute test plans for functional, integration and regression testing.
• Create automation test scripts in support of several applications.
• Create manual test cases as needed.
• Utilize Atlassian JIRA and Confluence to support test activities within the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Coordinates with project supervisors and business leads.
• Responsible for deployment of vendor mission systems, as well as software testing, debugging and resolution of integration issues.
• Provides continual maintenance of the integration/automation scripts as the software and platform changes.
• Responsible for ticket creation for issues, testing issues when resolved, and documentation of test status reports/dashboards relating to issues.
• Coordinates with project supervisors and business heads.
• Travel 0-10%.

Education/Qualifications

Must Have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Sciences/Engineering or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Requires at least a DoD Secret Clearance (TS or TS/SCI Eligible)
• 10 years of experience with programming and test automation tools (i.e. Ansible, Python, Ruby, Chef, Puppet, UNIX shell, Jenkins).
• Linux/Windows System
• Create and execute test plans for functional, integration and regression testing.
• Create manual test cases as needed.

Preferred:

• Experience with Virtualization/Containerization of products.
• Working knowledge of Git and/or other version control system.
• CompTIA Cloud and Security is preferred.
• Working Knowledge with USSF satellite operations, Satellite Control Network, and their corresponding ICD’s.
• Experience working within an Agile development team.
• Experience supporting DevSecOps engineers and environments.
• Experience working with automation tools (e.g Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Experience with Jenkins Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Development (CD) pipelines.
• Strong programming skills (e.g. Python, Unix Shell, PowerShell).
• Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Experience working within a ticket status and documentation platform.
• Must possess strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work with cross functional team (i.e. project manager, development teams, engineers, etc.).
• Ability to work independently with geographically dispersed team.

For this role, the compensation range for candidates in Colorado is $145K- $175K. Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. FTI has a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.
