Summary: The Traffic Coordinator manages both the shipping window and general office administration. They are responsible for gaining a thorough understanding of customer needs and system requirements. A successful Traffic Coordinator is able to use this knowledge to efficiently and effectively manage the shipping and receiving window and process Customer paperwork that moves through their office. This position requires professional and timely written and verbal communication with customers and internal operations.

• Greet and direct drivers to the proper location for loading/unloading
• Verify all orders for accuracy before distribution to the operators
• Verify driver pickup and delivery information and follow outbound and inbound procedures, including the maintenance of a detailed in/out signature sheet.
• Prioritize and manage daily loading/unloading to meet all cutoffs
• Coordinate outside carriers as required
• Inform CSRs when orders are ready and redistribute paperwork to them in a timely manner
• Assign containers and process In/Out transactions for third party containers in a timely manner
• Daily coordination and communication with all carriers, providing them the necessary information for planning 24-72 hours out
• Generate open order report by 3PM daily and distribute to CSRs
• Input and manage daily shipping pictures
• Organize and retain paperwork as necessary
• General Office Administration, including Purchase Orders, coordinating mail and express shipments, ordering office supplies, and other tasks as needed
• Coordinate rail switch to warehouse
• Enter POs in the system
• Daily review of relevant planning reports, including:
• Orphaned container report
• 3rdparty container report(s)
• Containers free days report
• Containers to return report
• Upcoming shipments report
• Double check ALL paperwork for accuracy prior to sending back to the CSRs. This includes, but is not limited to:
• Location information
• Loading & Checked By information
• All paperwork properly filled out
