Frontera Health, Inc. is Hiring a Full Stack Engineering Lead Near Denver, CO

The Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Full Stack Engineering Lead to join our growing team and play a pivotal role in building our innovative platform. As a Full Stack Engineering Lead, you will oversee the development lifecycle, from designing and implementing core functionalities to mentoring a team of talented engineers. You will be instrumental in shaping the technical direction of the platform and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality features. This is a player-coach role, where you will allocate approximately 50% of your time to leading and coordinating the engineering team and the remaining 50% to individual development work on the platform.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the zero to one design, development, and implementation of complex features across the frontend and backend of our platform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into technical specifications.
  • Drive alignment and collaboration between US and India-based engineering teams.
  • Take ownership of actively identifying and enhancing the user experience, functionality, and performance of our patient and provider facing products.
  • Architect and build scalable, maintainable, and secure software systems.
  • Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code.
  • Mentor and guide engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing engineering team.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in full-stack development technologies and best practices.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for technical optimization and performance improvement.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in full-stack engineering with a solid understanding of both frontend and backend development.
  • Excels working in a very fast moving environment and motivated by the opportunity to build greenfield products.
  • Excited to work in person at an office with teammates.
  • Proven experience in leading and mentoring engineers
  • Experience in building and deploying web applications at scale.
  • Proficiency in modern web development technologies (HTML, CSS, Typescript, React).
  • Experience with server-side programming languages (Python, Java, etc.) and familiarity with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and their potential applications in healthcare is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • A passion for building innovative solutions that make a positive impact on people's lives.
