Job Summary

The Youth Apprentice High school students will perform regular schoolwork, obtain classroom training through appropriate/assigned college per county and location. Students will perform clinical and non-clinical work at an assigned department within Froedtert Health.

The Medical Assistant - Youth Apprentice following established policies and procedures, under the direct supervision of a Medical Assistant mentor provides basic clinical, clerical, and technical support to assist providers in planning for patients' care, comfort, and safety. This role is instrumental in helping the patient feel at ease while collaborating with the provider throughout the patient's visit. Other duties as assigned.

* Must be a rising high school Senior (Students entering the summer leading up to their Senior year)

* Must live in the following zip codes: 53212, 53216, 53210, 53208, 53205, 53233, 53206, 53204.

* Must carry at least a 2.0 G.P.A

* Must be under 18 years old.

* Must be approved by the County Public Schools, local participating Colleges, and Froedtert Health (all participating locations)

* This is a cooperative program sponsored by participating Public High Schools, local Colleges, and Froedtert Health
