Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, taking X-rays, maintaining patient records, and ensuring a clean and sterile environment.
Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Take and develop dental X-rays
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist
- Take and record patient vital signs
- Perform dental receptionist duties, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment
- Follow proper aseptic techniques to prevent the spread of infection
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role
- Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
- Proficiency in taking dental X-rays and using CAD software for dental imaging
- Familiarity with medical records management systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
