Job Summary And QualificationsThe Security Officer performs a variety of duties involving safety, security, emergency management, monitors CCTV cameras, responds to and investigates security incidents, and assists and interacts with patients, visitors, vendors and staff as needed. This job description does not state or imply that these are the only duties to be performed. Security Officers may be required to perform other tasks or duties as requested by the Security Manager or Director.
What qualifications you will need:
EDUCATION:
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
One year previous experience in hospital or campus security, law enforcement, corrections or military is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC. :
- Must have a valid driver’s license, free from restrictions and insurable by hospital insurance company.
- A Department of Motor Vehicle Driving History Release must be submitted prior to employment and annually and must be in and remain in compliance with Frisbie's Driver/Fleet Safety Policy.
- Must become, CPI, Handcuffing and CPR certified within three months of hire and maintain all certifications.
