Fries Ag & Turf is Hiring a Parts Specialist Near Kearney, MO

The parts specialist plays an important role in the daily operations of Fries Ag and Turf by maintaining the right mix and level of stock, the parts specialist will help to ensure the efficiency and productivity of the store’s service and repair operations. The parts specialists use their sales and marketing skills to increase revenue by selling parts to customers. Strong communication skills, critical thinking and a customer service orientation are important personal qualities in a parts specialist.

The parts specialist is responsible for managing inventory based on demand and cost targets. They must be able to maintain stock at a level that enables internal servicing and repair departments to complete their daily work without delay. However, they must also avoid the cost of carrying excessive inventory. The parts specialist must have knowledge of stock control systems so that they can effectively record and analyze the movement of parts. They must also maintain accurate records of parts replaced under warranty and details of faulty parts.

This position is for a parts specialist that can maintain multiple locations effectively. Training parts employees how to maintain and keep parts cost at a minimum while still providing great customer service and keeping our service department parts in stock in a timely manner to ensure customer equipment can be repaired as soon as the technician is ready to do the job.

Duties and responsibilities-

· Forecasting parts needs and ordering parts to maintain optimal inventory levels

· Monitoring the current parts inventory

· Pricing parts to maintain profitability

· Receiving parts, including placing them into inventory and properly labeling them

· Helping customers find and purchase the correct parts

· Overseeing special orders

· Collaborating with service managers to ensure all parts are available for repair jobs

· Overseeing the training of our parts employees at multiple locations

· Maintain effective Parts Department processes to ensure internal and external satisfaction

· Maximizes use of all order discount programs

· Submits all parts warranty and part return claims within required timeframes to receive maximum credits

· Knowledge in Ag and Turf part ( a must )

· Keeping the work area clean and always organized.

· Ensuring the sales floor is stocked with products and everything is priced with current sales prices.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE NESSESSARY FOR THIS POSITION:

· Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new programs.

· Exceptional communication skills, oral and written.

· Ability to read and understand work orders with repairs and instructions on them.

· A strong team player able to arrive with a good attitude to project on both the customer and fellow employees.

WORK AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

· Requires long periods of sitting or standing.

· Requires the use of standard office equipment (i.e., computer, copier, scanner, etc.)

· Walking, standing, bending, and stooping.

· May require occasional lifting of up to 70lbs.

Wage is based on experience in this field
