Friendship Senior Options is currently hiring for full time and part-time Housekeepers at its Friendship Village of Schaumburg location. $1,000 Sign on Bonus paid out after 90 days of employment.

As a Housekeeper, you will make a difference in the lives of our residents by providing a clean, sanitary, comfortable, orderly, and satisfying environment.

Summary of Job Duties:

* Operate and maintain various cleaning equipment/tools such as vacuums, mops, dust mops, darts, sweeper extractors, and scrubbers. Clean carpets, tile, and wood flooring; strip, wax, and buff accordingly.

* Wash, clean, replenish and replace supplies and furnishings in order to maintain facility in a sanitary and infection-free condition.

* Maintain residential and common areas as well as public washrooms, pool and other campus areas as needed.

* Dispose of trash and waste; clean human/animal waste as needed.

* Utilize various cleaning chemicals in accordance with regulations such as OSHA, EPA, and the Illinois Department of Public Health. Read and understand MSDS and cleaning chemical labels.

* Maintain daily and project schedules, notifying manager of any changes.

* Damp/dry dust furniture, light fixtures, window sills, elevators, stairwells, guest rooms and all common areas.

* Clean kitchens, sinks, floors, mirrors, commodes, tubs, and showers. Clean and disinfect trash cans, vents, and door hardware. Perform high and low dusting, mopping and vacuuming, in addition to other cleaning tasks.

* Perform special requests such as assistance with leakage, spills, and plumbing issues. Perform window cleaning high dusting.

* Assist in maintaining needed levels of supplies and chemicals; notify manager of inventory levels as required.

* Perform other duties as deemed necessary and appropriate, or as may be directed.
