EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Registered Nursing Degree from an accredited college or technical school and six months to one year related experience. Must hold a current Arkansas RN license in good standing. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Assesses proper storage, handling and inventory of medications in residential facilities and Waiver homes as related to Nurse Consults. • Assists with training of staff regarding issues addressed in the nurse consult. • Assists with surveillance of all residential facilities to ensure compliance with health and safety policies. • Monitors health status of assigned consumers and documents on appropriate forms. • Reviews assigned consumer medical files to ensure all necessary appointments are made and follow ups are completed. • Confers with local/regional doctors in medical case management of consumers as need arise. • Reviews and updates medication records as needed. • Provides routine medical information to parents/guardians as requested. • Coordinates medical and health related matters with Nursing Coordinator, nursing staff and Case Manager/Coordinator. • Coordinates with RN overseeing Psychiatric Clinic as related to Nurse Consults. • Maintains required documentation for Nurse Consult to Case manager, Coordinator, and FCC billing department. • Maintains up-to-date certification in CPR/First Aid and a current health card (TB skin test). • Maintains valid Arkansas nursing license. (RN) • Participates in conferences and in-service training as required by DDS and/or Administration, including required out of town travel. • Attends MAPS/IDT meetings and completes nursing admission form, as assigned. • Completes trip lists, checklists and other documentation as required by supervisor

This is a safety sensitive position. Must be able to pass background checks/drug screen and maintain a clean driving record along with a valid AR driver’s license and reliable transportation with state minimum liability auto insurance.
