Pre-Primary Extended Day Head Counselor

Friends School of Baltimore is looking for a Pre-Primary Extended Day Head Counselor. This position works with students in the Extended Day program to facilitate a safe and engaging after school program.

Hours will be between 2:45 PM and 6:00 PM, Monday - Friday on School Days only.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Completed 90 Hour Early Childhood Certification
2. Education: Must be 16 years of age. High School diploma or completed sophomore year required. College credit a plus
3. Experience: Experience: Desire to work with / teach students in grades PK - 8th Child Care or Youth Camp experience a plus.
4. Grooming and appearance: Friends School seeks to maintain a neat and professional image at all times.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

1. Problem solving skills, capable of dealing with multiple tasks while maintaining composure
2. A positive attitude, good communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to be resourceful
3. Able to work independently without constant supervision
4. Understanding of students' needs and an ability to handle conflicts according to school procedures
