What We Are Looking For: The Membership and Development team is looking for a specialist to support the production and analytics needs related to our digital advocacy and fundraising communications. Do you have experience in web development or working with a CMS, CRM, or mass-email marketing tool? Are you detail-oriented, often noticing, and fixing errors that others might have overlooked? Do you have an interest in A/B testing to routinely try out new tactics and strategies to optimize digital communications? Are you experienced in managing multiple deadlines and adept at tracking tasks to keep things from slipping through the cracks? Are you resourceful – leveraging resources creatively to solve problems and proactive in finding alternative paths when needed? Do you enjoy learning the ins and outs of different software platforms?

The salary range for this full-time remote role is $61,500-$70,000. This position is part of the Nonprofit Professional Employees Union (NPEU) at Friends of the Earth.

Who You Are:

Detail-Oriented Digital Specialist: Load, test, and schedule email and SMS messages to advance our digital advocacy and fundraising programs. Build queries using our SMS software (Tatango) and our email CRM (Engaging Networks) to identify and target key audiences. Track and submit digitally gathered public comments and petition signatures to support campaign goals.

Technologically-Savvy Problem Solver: Anticipate, identify, and troubleshoot technical problems across our different digital software platforms including Tatango, Engaging Networks, and ActBlue. Find creative solutions to technical barriers, sometimes on a tight timeline.

Data-Driven Thinker: Implement A/B tests of new digital fundraising and advocacy tactics, making sure analytics best practices are honored. Maintain data infrastructure within and across our different software platforms to ensure data is not a barrier for innovation on the email and SMS programs.

 Required Qualifications:

• 3-5 years’ experience in web development or any role working with a CMS, CRM, or mass-email marketing tool. 
• Superb attention to detail, with an ability to spot typos and coding errors in your own work and the work of others.
• Experience with managing complex processes with many moving pieces and firm deadlines.
• Ability to anticipate obstacles and devise creative solutions. 
• Aptitude for solving technical problems.

• Willingness to consistently begin the workday by 9 am Eastern.
• All candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. FOE does not sponsor any employment related visas.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Four-year degree or equivalent experience. 
• Experience writing HTML and CSS from scratch and troubleshooting issues with JavaScript.
• Experience in Microsoft Excel, Google Analytics, or working with data. 
• Knowledge of A/B testing best practices and proven ability to implement A/B testing across digital channels.
