Position: Daycare Center Director

Responsibilities:

• Management and Leadership:
• Oversee and manage the daily operations of the daycare center.
• Provide leadership and guidance to staff members.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the center's efficient functioning.
• Staff Supervision and Training:
• Recruit, hire, and train childcare staff.
• Conduct regular staff evaluations and provide feedback.
• Ensure staff members are up-to-date on required certifications and training.
• Regulatory Compliance:
• Stay informed and ensure compliance with all licensing regulations and standards.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation required by regulatory agencies.
• Parent Communication:
• Foster positive relationships with parents and guardians.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, activities, and any concerns.
• Budget Management:
• Develop and manage the daycare center budget.
• Monitor expenses, control costs, and seek opportunities for financial efficiency.
• Curriculum Development:
• Collaborate with teaching staff to develop age-appropriate curriculum.
• Ensure that educational programs align with state standards and best practices.
• Health and Safety Oversight:
• Implement and enforce health and safety protocols.
• Conduct regular safety drills and ensure the center meets all health and safety requirements.

Requirements:

• Education:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
• Experience:
• Previous experience in a leadership or management role within a daycare or early childhood education setting.
• Knowledge of childcare regulations and licensing requirements.
• Certifications:
• State licensing requirements may include specific certifications for daycare center directors.
• CPR and first aid certification may be required.
• Skills:
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to problem-solve and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $11.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
