Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our facilities. This position requires experience in commercial and industrial cleaning, as well as knowledge of floor care techniques. Duties: - Perform general custodial duties, including cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, offices, common areas, and other designated areas - Sweep, mop, vacuum, and buff floors using appropriate equipment and cleaning solutions - Empty trash receptacles and replace liners - Dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, tables, chairs, and windowsills - Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces such as door handles, light switches, and handrails - Restock supplies in restrooms and other areas as needed - Follow proper safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment - Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Facilities Manager - Assist with setting up rooms for meetings or events as requested Requirements: - Proven experience in commercial or industrial cleaning preferred - Knowledge of custodial practices and techniques, including floor care (buffing, stripping, waxing) - Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and carpet cleaners - Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team - Good physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift/move heavy objects if required - Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively - Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety guidelines - High school diploma or equivalent preferred Note: This is a paid position. Internship positions should also be compensated accordingly.
