Overview

The Senior Project Manager position will be responsible for applying best delivery practices for internal and external projects and aligning with business partners to achieve strategic goals. This position requires excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as curiosity and attention to detail. As part of this role, you will be expected to contribute to improving process maturity, working with plants on technology rollouts, and representing the IT during customer onboarding. Your toolset must include prior experience with project management software, defect logging systems, program/project delivery using SDLC and/or Agile best practices, and ability to continuously improve current standards and methods. You will work with IT and business stakeholders to ensure expectations, scope, and objectives are met as expected.

Essential Functions include, but are not limited to:

• Work with the Solution Delivery Director to define, prioritize, and deliver internal and external solutions
• Lead project/program management of new and existing requests
• Contribute to the overall organizational roadmap expectations
• Partner with stakeholders to align with their business and strategic goals
• Use Google Suite, Smartsheet, Atlassian to track commitments, provide progress/updates, and to clearly communicate with all internal and external partners
• Create, track, and own Projects Plans, Communication Plans, and Postmortems
• Raise risks, document action items, identify dependencies, resolve issues, and document all until all are resolved
• Present updates, proposals, and metrics 
• Lead, participate, and perform daily standups, capacity planning, and project planning
• Participate in assessment of current processes and technologies and provide expertise to help with continuous improvement
• Willingness to travel (<15%)

Required Qualifications:

• Associates or Bachelor Degree in IT related field
• CSM, PMP, or related certifications

Preferred Qualifications:

• • 7 years related experience in project/program management, planning, tracking, and execution of variety of different projects and programs
  • Experience working with internal and external business stakeholders; bonus points for experience in manufacturing environment
  • Experience with and understanding of full project or product lifecycle
  • Proficiency with project management tools and related technologies 
  • Ability to demonstrate results oriented leadership by solving problems and possessing interpersonal skills that will drive project execution from ambiguity to completion
  • Experience with process maturity, as well as continuous improvement of process and delivery 
  • Ability to balance priorities from different stakeholders and identify and plan engineering efforts
  • Vendor management and ability to work with them to deliver off the shelf solutions
  • Solid presentation skills and ability to get points across
  • Understand Agile and SDLC best practices and the ability to use either or both when necessary

• • Bonus points for (not required):
    • Experience with software and hardware solutions
    • Knowledge of Digital Transformation 
    • Vendor management experience to deliver SaaS and COTS solutions
