FreshRealm is Hiring a Project Manager Near Linden, NJ

Starting pay for this job is $97,520.

Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies, and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.

Job Overview

The Project Manager will be responsible for projects relating to the build out of multiple manufacturing facilities, including purchase of equipment and facility design & build. Ensuring cost control against budget, health and safety and environmental systems that meet with legislation and display a continuous improvement strategy in line with industry best practices for all design and equipment purchases.

Major Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and project implementation plans, including risk mitigation
  • To coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets, in collaboration with project staff from various functional departments
  • Analyze project progress and, when necessary, adapt scope, timelines, and costs to ensure that project team adheres to project requirements
  • Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes
  • Establish and maintain processes to manage scope over the project lifecycle, setting project quality and performance standards, and assessing and managing risk within, and across, multiple projects
  • Build and develop the project team to ensure maximum performance, providing purpose, direction, and motivation
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with outside resources—including third-party vendors and researchers
  • Monitor and assign resources appropriately to streamline project efficiency and maximize deliverable outputs
  • Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels as needed—escalating issues as necessary based on project work plans

Qualifications for the Job

Skills and Requirements

  • 7 years project management experience - preferably in food assembly build outs
  • Ability to demonstrate considerable experience in delivering capital investment projects up to $5 Million from concept to delivery within both budgetary and time constraints.
  • Proven success working with all levels of management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience and knowledge in the installation of services including refrigeration, heating and air conditioning, with linkage to operating equipment.
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Knowledge of various project management methodologies 
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Cost and risk management skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills

Experience / Education

  • Professional certification preferred - including PMP/PRINCE II
  • Understanding of the Project Management Institute (PMI) framework
  • Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines
  • Experience developing in-house platforms for internal processes
  • Experience coaching and educating project teams to strengthen team members’ capabilities and skill sets
