MAIN JOB OBJECTIVE

The Quality Coordinator will work with and report to the fresh Quality and Processing team to ensure that certain deliverables and ongoing assignments are executed. This position reports to the Director of Quality and Processing and requires daily/weekly input and work with other members of the Quality and Processing team.

Daily tasks associated with the monitoring, documentation and submittal of launch and line trial information will be conducted. In addition to daily tasks, there will be monthly and scheduled events and tasks that require devotion in time and effort. Documentation is a key element in the execution of this employee’s work efforts.

Furthermore, this position requires focus and observational skills as well as the ability to meet project time schedules and goals. The Quality Coordinator will also work with other fresh team-members to obtain and supply information about ongoing Quality projects and events.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Evaluate and manage manufacturing retains and document results for signs of degradation and deterioration on a weekly/monthly. Manage off-site storage of retains. This will be documented and shared with other team members, R&D, and the Lab.
• Respond to, communicate, and work with subcontractors, fillers, and suppliers for the purpose of management of progress for investigations resulting from nonconformances and other events.
• Receipt, management, and review of Certificates of Analysis CofA) from manufacturers and fillers. The employee will manage the receipt of CofA’s from bulk manufacturers and submittal to fillers. In addition, certain markets require the creation of CofA’s for international shipping requirements.
• Coordinate testing of heavy metals for China HP submissions and the resulting Certificates of Analysis from approved laboratories. The incumbent will be required to submit samples from first productions from subcontractors to our approved testing lab for testing for heavy metals as required by Chinese GMP requirements.
• Work with Quality and Processing team for other projects and events including:
• Launches, line trials
• Stability and compatibility review, information and documentation
• Coordinate micro testing as part of the fresh micro testing process
• The Quality Coordinator will monitor and support timely execution of tasks and projects as well as develop procedures, templates and tracking measures to measure and monitor the outputs of various quality processes.

• Learn the current relationships between fresh and their subcontractors as well as internal partners
• Start to develop and create additional spreadsheets and documentation to track and measure production output
• Understand the current processes and procedures that the Quality Team uses.

• Develop sustainable and consistent forms of communication for internal fresh teams, subcontractors and the Quality and Processing team
• Maintain/update spreadsheets and documents with ongoing information.
• Learn the different fresh products as well as observe and report ongoing sample reviews

• B.S. in Biology, Chemistry or Similar Sciences
• 1-3 years’ experience within quality control
• Proficient in MS Word suite
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Ability to work cross functionally and manage vendor relationships

Salary Range

$70,000-$77,000
