Marketing Director

Jreck Subs (Fresh Start Franchising) is looking for an experienced, driven and enthusiastic marketing professional to grow the brand. The ideal candidate for this role will help Jreck Subs maintain and grow its position throughout the region as a favorite sub shop of choice by helping develop and execute strategic marketing and communications activities. This role will lead all marketing activities for the corporate Jreck Subs brand and regional franchise locations. This position is ideal for a proactive, self-motivated and entrepreneurial professional who thrives in a fast-paced and continually changing environment. This position has the opportunity for advancement and the chance to grow your own team. The Marketing Director will play a key role in refreshing the Jreck Subs brand and positioning the company for future growth and expansion.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead all marketing initiatives for the brand, including evaluating, developing, and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy and plan
  • Transform business and marketing objectives into data-driven communication strategies (goals, tactics, and metrics) across all relevant channels, with an increased focus on digital platforms
  • Effectively present and proactively communicate marketing strategy, ideas for campaigns, results of all marketing efforts
  • Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with all internal and external stakeholders, including the executive and operations teams, current and future franchise partners, customers, external vendors, and business/community partners.
  • Work as a collaborative liaison with marketing agencies and other partnered third-party vendors, effectively managing expectations, timelines, and deliverables
  • Conceptualize and execute strategic marketing campaigns that will help improve sales, increase traffic to stores, reach new audiences, build customer loyalty, and promote a positive brand experience
  • Lead the development of all marketing materials, including but not limited to: point-of-sale materials, flyers, email campaigns, social media posts, paid media advertisements, website copy
  • Manage social media and digital marketing platforms, helping to build Jreck Subs’ online communities and increase customer engagement. Platforms include SMS/email, instore loyalty, reputational platforms.
  • Copyedit and proofread marketing materials to ensure consistency and accuracy
  • Monitor, measure and track results for all marketing and advertising activities
  • Build positive relationships with the Jreck Subs franchise community, including encouraging adoption of corporate marketing programs and collateral, and serving as a support resource for local and regional marketing needs. Including a regular newsletter updating the franchisees and stakeholders of all relevant material.
  • Continually monitor QSR (quick service restaurant) industry trends and competitive insights to help strategically develop and adjust marketing programs appropriately
  • Lead community relations efforts, including managing inbound community donation and sponsorship requests

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or related field required; master’s degree preferred and/or a minimum of seven to ten years related professional experience
  • Proven experience developing and executing comprehensive, strategic marketing campaigns
  • Experience in digital marketing, including managing social media platforms (website content management, Google ads / analytics, crowdsourcing sites like Yelp experience is a plus)
  • Previous experience working for or in collaboration with PR/Marketing Agencies is preferred
  • Previous experience in B2C marketing is preferred (specific experience in the QSR, fast casual or restaurant industry is a plus)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) is preferred, but not required
  • Commitment to excellence, high performance standards, and a desire for continual improvement
  • Strong project management skills including strategy, problem solving, organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage continually changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrates strong initiative and a proactive approach to work

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and possesses the ability to work independently and as a member of various teams

Regional travel throughout the Upstate/Central/Western New York region is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
