We are currently seeking a hands-on, Assistant Director of Dining Services to join our growing family in historic Fulton, Missouri. Our ideal Assistant Director candidate will possess a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and outlook, compassionate customer service skills, drive to succeed, and passion for culinary excellence.

This is a year-round, salary position. Starting base salary $60k.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of two years of proven management experience in the food service industry
• Bachelor's degree in food service management, hospitality management, culinary arts, or business preferred but not required
• Previous food service experience in a college/university setting
• Strong culinary background
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Proven ability to effectively manage, train and supervise employees
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-quality food operation and to make sound decisions under pressure
• Experience with menu development, planning, and preparation
• Knowledge of food inventory processes
• Meets financial objectives by estimating requirements, preparing annual budgets, designs menus, tracks inventory, placing orders, and analyzing variances
• Develops team members through appropriate coaching, training, mentoring, communicating job expectations, and enforcing company policies and procedures
• Establishes and proactively maintains effective client and resident relations
• Technology proficient
• Strong financial acumen, comprehending cost analysis, P&L, and fiscal budgeting
• Must promote a positive work environment and be committed to achieving excellence in a team setting
