Fresenius Medical Care is Hiring a Project Manager Near Chesapeake, VA

POSITION FEATURES:

This is a blended position involving administrative/executive assistant and project management functions.
This position is office-based, 5 days per week in Iselin, NJ.
Healthcare experience is strongly desired.
In this role you will support several senior leaders and an extensive team of surgical centers. Excellent communicaton and organizational skills required. Excellent command of Microsoft Office suite.

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Lead the implementation of medium to large scale programs and projects for the FVC division. Including the leading of cross functional and, strategic initiatives. The Program Manager will focus on the development of new business processes, the planning and management of multi-team programs from conception to implementation and post implementation support; recommend enhancements to harmonize and standardize and business processes and to effectively integrate program requirements with existing business processes. This position will manage business enhancement projects and programs that drive tangible business value and possibly cost reductions. In addition, this position will define and manage the creation of policies and procedures that comply with company-wide standard. This position will assist and support the Regional Vice President as required.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under close supervision, utilizes established procedures to perform routine assigned tasks.

  • Learns to use professional concepts. Applies company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues.
  • Works on problems of limited scope. Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.
  • Builds stable working relationships internally. 
  • Normally receives specific, detailed instructions on all work. 
  • May refer to P2 and/or P3, if applicable, for assistance with day-to-day problems that may arise.
  • Escalates issues to supervisor/manager for resolution, as deemed necessary.
  • Assist with various projects as assigned by direct supervisor.
  • Leads the implementation of complex programs and projects deemed to be small to medium in size and complexity.
  • Evaluates, analyzes data, and prepares statistical reports such as cost analyses, time analyses and volume dash boards and shares this information with the Regional VP and Regional Directors for planning and productivity purposes.
  • Develops and maintains document control database management.
  • Facilitates all annual Center Management meetings and all Division leadership meetings.
  • Oversees strategic plans and budget submissions.
  • Creates reports within the contract software system.
  • Researches market demographics for new site locations.
  • Develops communication materials to maintain excellent relationships with Physicians, Medical Directors, team members and Center Manager.
  • Acts as a liaison between Operations and internal and/or external resources as required for managing the program from concept, to implementation, and stabilization.
  • Coordinate the efforts of resources required to successfully implement complex project goals and objectives within the prescribed timeframe and budget. When timeline and/or budget deviations are identified, implement appropriate actions to recover while keeping all stakeholders informed of the current status.
  • In addition, assists in managing the creation of policies and procedures for the business for post go live stability and continuity.
  • Manage the stabilization of each implementation to include; planning, organizing, and resolving issues. Also, responsible for post implementation support and project close out activities.
  • Determine “best business practices” to meet the goals and objectives of the each business project.
  • Manage task schedules and issue status reports relative to team capacity and performance.
  • Facilitate with the business operations to develop system reports to manage and measure the business processes.
  • Ensure system and process validation and documentation requirements are fully met and delivered
  • Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Determines methods and procedures on new assignments.
  • Assists with various projects as assigned by direct supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree required

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 2- 5 years of related experience
  • Strong attention to details often under significant pressure.
  • Self-motivated and has the ability to drive projects to closure in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Strong communication and exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to develop solid relationships with both Physicians and customers.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Advanced knowledge of organization operations and procedures.
  • Strong computer skills, especially Excel.
  • Excellent presentation, expectation management and training skills, consistently meeting specific needs of various client groups, project teams, and target audiences.
  • Strong experience in identifying and aligning appropriate functional and technical skills and resources necessary to meet strategic goals and business objectives, within prescribed timelines and budget parameters.
  • Experienced in managing culturally diverse workforce and business environments.
