Marketing Coordinator

Purpose

Assist with the efficient and profitable conduct of the marketing functions which are ultimately designed to increase and retain members for the Credit Union. Responsible for assisting the marketing department in all campaigns and promotions. Provide assistant to department manager and perform a variety of administrative and clerical duties.

Essential Functions

1. Promotes Credit Union products and services to existing and prospective members through strategic use of graphics, logos, and other promotional products.

2. Manages the credit union's website content and social media presence, ensuring timely updates and engagement.

3. Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing marketing campaigns.

4. Assist with planning and coordinating annual and special events or projects.

5. Provide administrative assistance to the Marketing Manager utilizing a range of computer software applications to include Windows, and graphics software.

6. Prepare routine to complex correspondence on a variety of subject matters relating to marketing business. Ensure accuracy of work.

7. Edit marketing collateral and other marketing materials.

8. Visit branch locations to deploy marketing materials and audit existing materials on display.

9. Coordinate and ensure the Marketing file structure on the network is maintained and consistent.

10. Maintenance of marketing display materials e.g., acrylic sign holders and displays.

11. Participate in new product development initiatives.

12. Supporting the Marketing Manager in establishing and evaluating a marketing strategy and plan by analyzing and assembling sales forecasts, updating calendars, and organizing and planning promotional presentations.

13. Communicating campaign deliverables, objectives and timelines to their team while providing instructions for promotion or use.

14. Assist with coordinating event sponsorships.

15. Represent the credit union at various events. This includes planning, managing, and attending trade shows, conferences, events, and meetings by identifying, coordinating, and assembling requirements, developing assignments and schedules, coordinating mailing lists and establishing contacts.

16. Assist with maintaining and monitoring an inventory and directory of sales support materials making sure all resources are accurate and current while coordinating new material creation as needed.

17. Update company website and social media tools.

18. Oversee loyalty and rewards programs.

19. Acts as the Financial Literacy Specialist and will be responsible for creating and presenting financial literacy programs to our members and community through classes, workshops, seminars, webcasts and more. Similarly, you will develop, create, and maintain financial literacy content for multiple platforms, including our website, printed materials, and video content.

20. Develop relationships with schools, non-profits, and vendors to establish the Credit Union as the leading resource for financial literacy education in the community.

21. Maintains communication with Marketing Manager; attends scheduled meetings.

22. Regular and reliable attendance.

Other Duties

1. Coordinates arrangements for the Credit Union’s Annual Meeting.

2. Call current and prospective members for new or additional business. Responsible for tracking of program and results for periodic evaluation.

3. Develops and maintains a favorable public relations climate within the community by developing unique and innovative projects, sponsorships, and programs that will assist our market areas with economic development, citizen empowerment, and social problems. (Community Involvement).

4. Participate in events such as press releases, launch events, and press meetings.

5. Document the statistics and give presentations to the senior executives of the company.

6. Prepare presentations to be given during the press releases and the product launch events.

7. Maintains media relations to assure most favorable pricing and treatment from local media.

8. Assists with developing and implementing appropriate marketing related training to assure staff are appropriately prepared for telephone inquiries, product campaigns, and meeting expected courtesy standards.

9. Keeps work area neat and organized. Keeps all confidential documents and records out of sight.

10. Performs other related or special assignments and other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

These specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this position. Preferred Experience

High School Diploma required. An associate degree with Marketing focus, communications, public relations, or related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education preferred. Should have experience in design and brand awareness.

Skills/Abilities

Strong interpersonal skills required to represent the credit union professionally and positively and to interact effectively with members, staff, and management. Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite applications. Must possess time management, organizational and analytical skills; must be able to coordinate a variety of projects and pay close attention to detail. Ability to originate ideas in a fast-paced environment with multiple short-term deadlines. Ability to work independently and as a team player. High level of enthusiasm and a self-starter. Frequent internal and external contact requires an outgoing, pleasant personality that enjoys constant interaction with people. Team builder. Understanding of Credit Union’s compliance/regulatory requirements related to the Credit union advertising and the Community Reinvestment Act. Ability to organize and prioritize projects and meet deadlines. Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and travel as needed. Must be able to work weekends and after business hours to attend Credit union events. Flexibility is necessary as an employee’s job responsibilities may change at any time during employment.

Decision Making

Requires creative thinking and professional judgement. Must identify, analyze, and solve problems.

Financial Responsibilities

To be responsible for safeguarding the credit union’s assets by ensuring that policies and procedures are followed. The results of an error or failure to follow through on any of these duties of this position could cause a loss of member goodwill and confidence, monetary loss to the credit union, or audit and compliance exceptions.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to work overtime, attend meetings, seminars, and travel.

Working Conditions

Work is performed primarily indoors with some potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to electronics work. May require periodic travel between branches and for community events. There is exposure to potentially hazardous conditions such as robbery. Employees are to receive detailed instructions and procedures to follow to minimize risk.
