Hiring salary range: $16.15 - $22.07 per hour

Voted a Top Workplace for 2022 and for the past twelve consecutive years, Fremont Bank has an immediate opening for a Document Scanning and Imaging Technician in Livermore, CA. Position OverviewThe Document Scanning and Imaging (DSI) Technician supports and provides quality control for the paperless document processing for both community and mortgage banks and is responsible for scanning documents, importing, indexing, re-indexing and uploading indexed documents to loan origination system and record depository system. 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for scanning documents, importing, indexing, re-indexing and uploading indexed documents to loan origination system for processing and underwriting loan applications
  • Scanning and imaging the bank documents to bank records depository system, and quality control the imaged documents to ensure the correct indexed document types in the system
  • Responsible for imaging and indexing both paper and electronic documents with the proper and correct naming convention and supporting the paperless vision of the Bank
  • Acts within scope of authority and consistent with company objectives, guidelines, policies, and practices
  • Keeps abreast of current trends and practices in fields of expertise
  • Responds to inquiries in a courteous manner; provides information within the scope of knowledge, or refers to an employee of higher classification
  • Responds to internal/external customers in a timely manner
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum two year college degree or high school graduate with at least two years of working experience with banking/mortgage documents
  • Knowledge of banking requirements, regulations, and mortgage documents
  • Demonstrated ability to operate a computer with Windows-based programs (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, etc.)
  • Must possess excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills
  • Must be able to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints
  • Analytical thinking ability, diplomacy, and professionalism are required
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with management and other employees
  • May require some occasional weekend work
