Air and Ocean Export Manager
Location - Artesia/Los Angeles relocating to Long Beach
Salary Range - $90,000 to $110,000 (Base Salary)

We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Air/Ocean Export Manager to join our team and contribute to our continued success.
**Position Overview:**
As an Air/Ocean Export Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the export operations of air and ocean freight shipments. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods from origin to destination while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of export procedures, and a proven track record of success in the logistics industry.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Manage and coordinate all aspects of the export process for air and ocean shipments, including booking, documentation, customs clearance, and delivery.
2. Provide guidance and support to export team members, ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and best practices.
3. Develop and maintain relationships with carriers, agents, and other service providers to ensure competitive pricing and reliable service levels.
4. Monitor shipment status and proactively address any issues or delays to minimize disruptions and meet customer requirements.
5. Ensure compliance with all relevant export regulations, including export controls, trade sanctions, and licensing requirements.
6. Prepare and review export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
7. Collaborate with internal departments, such as sales, operations, and customer service, to optimize processes and enhance customer satisfaction.
8. Stay informed about industry trends, developments, and regulatory changes affecting export operations, and implement necessary adjustments to maintain compliance and efficiency.
9. Analyze export performance metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance operational effectiveness and cost efficiency.
10. Participate in training and development initiatives to enhance team capabilities and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in air and ocean export operations, preferably in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of international trade regulations, including export controls, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve goals and deliver exceptional service.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances with a positive and proactive attitude.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite and export management systems.
