Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Dispatcher / Maintenance. As a employee, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing the logistics of our transportation operations as well as any other weekly maintenance jobs. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze transportation data and ensure the efficient movement of goods from point of origin to final destination. This is a full-time position with opportunities for career growth.

Duties:

- Coordinate and schedule transportation activities, including dispatching drivers and assigning routes

- Analyze transportation data to optimize delivery routes and minimize costs

- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) to track shipments and update delivery status

- Communicate with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders to provide real-time updates on delivery schedules

- Collaborate with shipping and receiving teams to ensure timely loading and unloading of goods

- Perform data entry tasks to update shipment records and maintain accurate documentation

- Monitor GPS tracking systems to track the location of vehicles and ensure on-time deliveries

- Resolve any issues or delays that may arise during transportation operations

- Maintain a high level of customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving complaints in a timely manner

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in logistics or dispatching is preferred as well as maintenance experience.

- Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) such as SyteLine, Oracle Transportation Management, or AS400 is a plus

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders

- Proficient in data entry and computer applications

- Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes in a 3PL environment is beneficial

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
