About this opportunity:
The Technical Product Manager, Research is responsible for the ownership of Freenome’s research and development software systems, particularly bioinformatics software pipelines to ensure the platform’s reliability, validity and usability for research - from wet lab to molecular science, development, computational biology, and machine learning initiatives.
You will be responsible for coordinating and prioritizing the needs of the Development Scientists, Computational Biologists and Machine Learning Scientists and working with engineers to manage various systems, services and downstream data. This position requires you to innovate and improve upon the current software infrastructure in place, define new specifications for automation and further strengthen data integrity.
You will also be responsible for strategizing research studies for molecular and translational science with a focus on data flow and technical feasibility.
A detail-oriented approach will be paramount to this role coupled with scientific knowledge and understanding of software development. You will capture user requirements, plan, monitor and execute new software features and improvements. A comprehensive understanding of bioinformatics software pipeline, molecular science, and machine learning is required to perform this role effectively. The US target range of our base salary for new hires is $136,000 - $210,000. You will also be eligible to receive pre-IPO equity, cash bonuses, and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits dependent on the position offered. Please note that individual total compensation for this position will be determined at the Company’s sole discretion and may vary based on several factors, including but not limited to, location, skill level, years and depth of relevant experience, and education.
