Summary
Enterprise data steward II has overall accountability for the enterprise data and reporting posture in MDM by managing customer data assets, data lineage and data access. This role requires focus on the CRM/CMA/SAP data mastering execution (onboarding, processing, research, etc.), plus implementation of data best practices/tips, data exceptions, strategy and reporting to sure that data policies and data standards are adhered to on a daily basis. Demonstrates a high level of proficiency in and knowledge of enterprise data policies and data standards and how they apply to each enterprise application supported. Makes well-thought-out decisions on complex or ambiguous data issues and establishes the CRM/CMA/SAP data stewardship process and direction for the team. Effectively communicates to individuals at various levels of the technical and business communities. This person will interface and communicate with the core enterprise teams (SE, IT, Growth, etc.) as well as with business owners with customer data issues on a daily basis. This position requires an individual confident to manage up and provide reporting, as well as, meeting and status updates to the senior Sales Enablement/IT and Growth leadership.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for taking care of the enterprise master and reference data as an asset for the Freeman Organization (customer, event, product, facility, reference data, etc.)
- Onboarding customers from enterprise source systems via MDM (Profisee)
- Onboarding and maintaining the enterprise facility data asset in the Facility Management application and SAP
- Processing CRM/CMA/SAP records out of the MDM queue (exceptions – missing or misleading information, duplications) and communicating resolutions with the record owner
- Help in managing internal and maintaining external reference data changes (i.e Buying Status vs. Country & State)
- Processing Mergers/Acquisitions/ in MDM and Salesforce/CMA/SAP
- Ability to perform Duns Research
- Processing customer change requests (customer name, billing address, account owner, etc.)
- Responsible for data quality and data accuracy between Salesforce/CMA/SAP and MDM hub
- Works with the key customers [internal business/end user representatives (e.g., Account Executive, Customer Solutions Manager, Customer Support, etc.) to retain business by continuously enhancing data initiatives and minimizing data inaccuracies
- Ensures that departmental metrics and quality assurance ratings are achieved.
- Responsible for defining standards and best practices for maintaining high data quality metrics
- Performing data quality checks at regular intervals and enforces data quality standards across all enterprise applications.
- Ensure data solutions adhere to the enterprise data principles and guidelines
- Applies knowledge of Freeman services and software application experience to special projects, including UAT and focus groups as a Subject Matter Expert
- Responsible for understanding end to end data flow and dependencies between the CRM/CMA/SAP and MDM systems
- Help with the development and maintenance of an enterprise data dictionary
- Assists with the development, application, and presentation of enterprise stewardship training programs
- Assists with training and mentoring of other employees, including new employee training.
- Proficiency in identifying the root cause of data quality deficiencies within applications
- Partners with Custodian to monitor access to the data
PREFFERED
- Technical knowledge and exposure of MDM platforms such as Profisee, Informatica, etc.
- Technical knowledge and exposure to SalesForce, SAP platforms, ec.
- Technical knowledge in data architecture principles and design (understanding to the Freeman data strategy model & architecture) and data domains
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, high school diploma or equivalent with 3 years of experience in the data application steward role or equivalent data processing role
